Climbers back in basecamp, Tommy back at home

29.06.2008 00:07 Age: 16 yrs
By: Tommy

Clara and Markus are back in the basecamp and use two days of bad weather for relaxing and gaining energy. Tommy is already back at home (and tries to give best strategic support using the most up to date weather forecasts)

I am already back in Austria (years older than I left....no, not as shown at the picture, just some impressions about people and the indus valley). The satellite phone connection works well (thanks Fa. BRANDSPOT!!---> www.brandspot.at) and is used more or less every day to bring the latest news home and the weather forecast to the BC.

Clara and Markus followed the recommendation to use the days of bad weather to come back to lower areas and relax. They went back to BC to gain energy by resting and especially by eating! The camp chain is built up till 7.200 m. From Tuesday onwards they will start their summit attempt.

The picture of the mountain shows the route on the very left side (made from Cer), and the 7.200 m position is close below the upper rocks there.
