Handing over of one 20W and two of 55W solar panels by Dr. Peter Layr, Director of EVN

Direktor Dr. Peter Layr handed out three of the sponored solar panels to Markus and Clara this week. They have been instructed for the proper use of the panels as well. The three parts will be used for the provision of electricity for a notebook and the reloading of batteries and accumulators for the celuar satelite phones, the wireless transmitting sets, digital camera and digital cameras.

The units meet the most modern technology of portable light solar cells. The weight is only 500g and they are collapsible to a size of prox. 30x30x5cms (12x12x2 inches). A battery of 2kgs including an AC transformer stores the energy attained by the solar panels in order to use electricity during night times too. USB- and standard plugs can be connected there easily.
